By-Laws

  • No smoking inside the club house.
  • Shooting hours are: 9.00am to 5.00pm; club days – Sunday / Wednesday 9am till finish. No shooting on Saturdays, rifle club day.
  • Eye and ear protection required at all times on or near the firing line, covered footwear and suitable clothing (affording proper personal protection) must be worn.
  • Absolutely no alcoholic beverages on club premises unless permission has been granted by the Club Committee, (i.e. BBQ following shoot).
  • No person may be admitted to the range whilst a shoot is in progress if they be deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • The security, safety and privacy of all members is paramount, no information will be disclosed to outside influences.
  • All inexperienced shooters must be accompanied by an experienced trainer, and anyone under 18 must be mentored by an adult member until they are deemed safe and independent shooters by clubs Trainers.
  • Actions of uncased firearms should be kept open except when on the firing line, ready to fire. Loaded firearms may not be removed from the firing line.
  • No person shall handle any firearm without the express permission of the owner.
  • Loud, abusive or derogatory language will not be tolerated. Shooters and range personnel will limit their conversation directly behind the firing line to official business.
  • All shooters WILL clean up the range area of all targets, materials and rubbish on completion. Use rubbish receptacles or take it with you.
  • Destroying or damaging club property will be grounds for immediate dismissal from the club.
  • No shooting wildlife on the range property.
  • Shotgun slugs to be used on paper targets only, NOT steels. Shot-type loads only to be used on the 25 metre range. All targets, empty hulls, and/or debris must be removed when a member is finished.
  • There will be NO loading or loaded firearms behind the established firing line.
  • All vehicles must stay on the roads and designated parking areas.
  • Targets: approved WAPA and SSAA targets only. Silhouettes and steel targets can not be shot with copper or steel core .22 ammunition.
