Short Field is a form of Field Pistol using three targets for each shooter consisting of a rabbit, crow and five fox heads (on one target). The course of fire is as follows.
39 Rounds. Total in Mags or S/L. 4 Mags of 6 rounds, 3 mags of 5 rounds.

1 Mag or S/L of 6 Rounds. One Mag or S/L of 5 rounds.
Target faces for 8 seconds and away for 2 seconds. Fire 3 rounds at Rabbit, 3 rounds at crow. Reload on command and fire 5 rounds at fox heads. One round per head. Target will face for 12 seconds. |
| At 15m 11 Rounds |
1 Mag or S/L of 6 Rounds. 1 Mag or S/L of 5 rounds.
Target faces for 6 seconds. Fire 3 rounds at Rabbit. Target faces for 6 seconds. Fire 3 rounds at crow. Reload on command. Target faces for 10 seconds. Fire 5 rounds at fox heads, one round per head. |

2 Mags or S/L of 6 Rounds. One Mag or S/L of 5 rounds.
Target faces for 4 seconds and away for 2 seconds. Fire 6 rounds at at crow. Reload on command. Fire 6 rounds at rabbit. Reload on command. Target faces for 8 seconds, fire 5 rounds at fox heads. One round per head. |
